The problem with grafting over bones or tendons is that there is no intrinsic blood supply to keep the graft alive. By providing a scaffold for normal subcutaneous tissue to grow into, Novosorb "grafting" generates and carries its own blood supply. Otherwise a flap graft is required which has its own blood supply and is a much more time consuming and demanding process (read "expensive").

Whether or not any adhesions occur is likely the result of local conditions. You can't necessarily extrapolate from one use or location to another.
