I am no trickster, just saying $2 is high enough for me if there is a takeover offer in the near term.
I am aware this is a long life asset and would be worth more if the price of the underlying commodity was not depressed.

Congrats on your SBM pick, which I also bought at 9 cents (you will find my posting on that thread in the last 20 months) but unfortunately did not double down when the share price dropped to 7 cents - I am still holding my SBM shares. I have shares in lots of goldie companies purchased over the last 20 months and MDL is the only non-goldie spec in my portfolio.
I have not made an attempt to value MDL and simply bought a small holding (very small relative to what you have or what I could have bought) as a lottery ticket because I followed them from 2007 when they were developing their gold mine and have held them at various times before the spin out of TGZ (look it up if you do not know its history) so I was aware that the share price did not reflect the funds invested in the mineral sands project.
I do not know how you have come up with a possible value of 15 times its "guesstimated" NPV of $2.57 - judging by what you have written it appears to me you are not financially literate and do not understand the relationship between NPV and share price targets.
You may note my comments above to arsenic that I am willing to accept $2 in a takeover in the near term - it would be a significant percentage gain on my purchase price of 22 cents.
I hope you did not sell out your SBM shares too early in their run, which I believe will continue as the USD gold price heads higher over time.
