Some pure speculation on my behalf …
What do you do if you are SE1 and you want to move up the value chain. Your key customers, AbioMed, Nova BioMedical and NanoDX don’t offer that opportunity. When all is said and done you are a component supplier, there is no opportunity there.
You start working with another semiconductor company in Australia who are working towards taking their own product to market. Over 18 months working with them you like what you see, think this is close to your core competencies and start thinking how can you work closer, perhaps a JV.
That companies MC is at an all time low. Perhaps rather than a JV you decide to take a position in that company on market, with their blessing. You quickly raise funds via a CR, the company then releases news and you use the volume generated to start building that position. 2% of BLG was traded today.
Improbable, but you never know !
