"Today however, details from the Deloitte document hit the newspapers. There was nothing about Blumberg's fellow directors Laurie Emini and Julian Smith. They described Blumberg's extravagant lifestyle - buying Ferraris and even putting a down payment on a helicopter - which had been funded by money withdrawn from Hawkswood and Leveraged Capital, companies associated with Opes and its directors.
Both ANZ and Deloitte, the receiver which the bank appointed to Opes, have denied leaking the Deloitte investigation. The material is subject to an investigation by the Australian Securities & Investments Commission."
Is my understanding that who ever leak the information which is currently the subject of a ASIC investigation and potential criminal action case peverting the course of justice. If so, should ASIC not ask AFP to investigate whoever leak the information about Blumberg.
As Mike West argued, it is curious that nothing was said of the lifestyle of Smith and Emini! One wonder why.
