With all due respect, there is a need to track infections. The government has relaxed testing requirements because of the absence of resources and preparation, not because of concerns about the welfare of the community. As an example, how do medical requirements be provided to an aged care facility or the elderely for that matter, probably one of the vulnerable sectors in society, in the event of an outbreak? There are numerous individual circumstances where "staying at home" has the potential to endanger lives.
