Chrisford:
There's a difference to being cocky, and wanting to take full advantage of the move which will happen once in a very very long time.
The hardest part trading short, is to know when a reverse is just a dead cat or weaker shorts closing out or if it really is the start of a bullish reversal.
That's why its all in the entry points, and that's why I always close half and try to reopen at my entry point or higher with larger size if it is a high conviction trade.
I suppose it doesn't hurt to take your profits either, but you will also find it harder to re-enter your shorts 30/40 lowers when the market really turns into GTFO mode.
