Camden - good on you for putting up such a detailed post. If you look at the prospectus from years ago, this one appeared designed to reward a certain group quite royally, at the expense of another more naive group. BLY could have been much more rewarding to shareholders with better management, and if it wasn't geared up and filled with legacies massively, pre IPO.
I used to be a more fundamental trader while I was working, especially making picks in the GFC, which did pay off.
Now I have a very short term focus. I find it works for me. The situation with BLY is that it does have a price that, in comparison with other stocks on the market, makes it look either correctly, under or over valued, once all the bad stuff is factored in. There is a price from whence this stock will rise. I think this will drift back up, once the dividend is allowed for. If it takes too long, I'll sell and buy something else. Anyway as always, for every seller there is a buyer, and there has been record buying the previous two days ;-)
