Spoken like someone who doesn't understand charts. Charts definitely are NOT irrelevant. Charts are a key element to understand where the stock is or isn't heading. Sure, if you're a long term FA passive investor and plan to hold through everything, you won't care, but if you're someone who trades and is an active investor, charts mean everything. Why have your money tied up in a stock going nowhere or backwards when you can read a chart, sell out and buy into another stock that is moving, only to re-enter your original when the chart says it's time to do so.
