Seems to me as if somebody (generally) sells just enough at the end of each day to bring the price back to where it was.
We would normally expect a volume seller to wait for the price to rise before selling (unless distressed)
The only advantage, (that I can think of), for continually preventing the
SP rising would be to some entity who is thinking of a takeover bid.
Perhaps others have alternate explanations?
