Hi
Almost all Energy Stocks and Material Stocks are down today by between 4% to 10% - check FMG, BHP, STO, PDN etc. Price of oil has gone down as well (not a bad thing in itself.) Interestingly, the financial sector is picking up.
China will be producing less until the Olympic Games are over, and this will continue to affect Resources Stocks for a while. There is a lot of talk of recession - I believe recession is official for New Zealand as of today; here in Australia we are still coasting and awaiting a rates decision tonight. Of course, the markets are jittery.
There are only two options, either sell out or sit it out.
I am still undecided, but want to wait and see what tomorrow brings.
