    Outside of the DRC, there are IMO only two companies advanced enough (near DFS) and with large enough resources for an entitiy like BMW to be interested in signing an offtake agreement...AUZ and CLQ...CLQ has already signed with Easpring for 20% of theirs....

    It has been mentioned by some posters they believe BMW is not going to sign with a DRC company, i.e. Glencore, Katanga etc...

    Again, IMO, if it is not a DRC cobalt supplier, then it is either AUZ or CLQ....

    A 60 kWh NCA battery pack will require about 9 kg of cobalt and a 60 kWh NMC (622) battery pack will require about 12 kg of cobalt...Multiply either of these figures by the number of EVs BMW plans to produce/year and that might give an estimate as to how much cobalt/year a car manufacturer like BMW will need.
