What grinds my gears is the level of understanding threads like this disclose about the everyday Joe's attitude to investment. If something goes wrong, it must be grounds for legal action. Let's sue!! Let's call ASIC! Let's call the directors of the company! Let's call the Trustees!
You guys did little or no due diligence on investing into companies like this and you got spanked. It's people like you who cannot take responsibility for their actions and seek to blame others. Maybe the company was too highly leveraged, maybe the banks got spooked by that leverage, maybe it has a lot to do with economics - clearly a foreign language to you all. I see it every day. I work in it every day and mop up the mess every day. There is a reason your broker gets you to sign something stating that you clearly understand the risks of the market. If you don't stay out and stop the bleating.
