I think on a global scale, interest rates and inflation are more likely than not to remain low(er). Whilst Covid vaccinations are rolled out across the world, I personally see that governments will do all they can to assist their own economies to aid the recovery. With Covid mutations, etc. who knows how long this will be though... 1yr? 2yrs? 5yrs?
The fall from $160 was also due to Afterpay climbing too high, to quick. The SP definitely rose off the back of the Affirm IPO and ZIP investigating a NASDAQ listing. The SP definitely fell because of inflation concerns and there was rotation out of pretty much all tech stocks.
@stefan thanks for your reply. I don't see (to quote) high inflation and interest rates hiked aggressively in the short term. I'd be gutted to see my share portfolio get hammered in the event that this does happen, I am sure that Afterpay would withstand this though. It was great to see how well we recovered during 2020!
