IMO I don't think it's an issue in the long term, Zip is not like other BNPL companies and the business model is showing that moving forward. Also the UK has been impacted greatly by COVID-19 so no ones been working..! The 'affordability' test is basically checking your bank statements, incomings, outgoings and any debts you have. When you apply for Zip they want you to log into your internet banking where you salary goes... they ask for permission from your bank to view your bank statements only.... then Zip uses that data to see if your can afford it... very good process!!
