New thread to discuss the likelihood of WZR opening up a new business in the BUY NOW PAY LATER space.
Flexigroup is the newest business announcing its plan to move into the BUY NOW PAY LATER sector in direct competition against AFTERPAY and Z1P.
SPT.AX has listed on ASX for 5 weeks and sp has performed spectacularly.
I believe WZR is currently one of the best well-positioned companies on ASX to move into this space. It has the technology, the credit check platform, the funding relationships with 3 banking institutions, the working knowledge of personal loans and mortgages. These 4 elements are crucial to possess for any company to make a strategic move into the BNPL sector. Best of all, BNPL business will complement its existing neo-lending businesses.
I would not be surprised if management is currently working on this plan and would announce it after the next quarter report which i expect to be another highest quarter of mortgage origination and personal loan. The market will wake up to this award-winning of best lending innovation 2019 company IMHO.
