I dare say they were expecting massive nickel sulphide, otherwise why drill the hole. Their investors were expecting that as well, otherwise why drop them like hot potatoes when the results came in. Optimism is one thing, but the level of spin here is truly amazing.
It's exploration folks, you have to be an optimist to explore otherwise you'd give it up and go do something else, but it's still a step into the unknown. Hopefully RTR hit the mother load, but all these other great conductors turning up blank should be a lesson to make sure you have your expectations grounded in reality and invest accordingly.
