Hey Fatty I remember you wanted to know more about the SA iron ore industry.i wasn't able to post a response then,(sinbin)But the indutry is in it's primary stages on the Eyre Penisula they have made some significant discoveries of hematite and magnetite.There are a number of company's involved with my pick being Centrex and Lincoln minerls.They already have infrustucture in place,ports that are used for grain,railways in some cases running through the tenemnets 20km's away from the nearest port,Port lincoln.There is also an old concentrator in Whyhala.
At the moment Centrex have signed a 100yr lease on a port just outside of Port Lincoln but they are trying to gain access to the main port as it seems more suitable.they have come up against some opposistion though,mainly the local southern bluefin tuna industry,but it is looking hopeful.
I also think Port Lincoln is quite a hot place for property having bought a waterfront townhouse at the marina at the end of last year.
I've just posistioned myself and am waiting for the BOOOOM!!!!
