More interesting though is what is said beneath this appointment.
"Site works are now well advanced with initial gasification due to commence late in September 2008. It is expected that the successful completion of this trial will open up enormous opportunities for the commercial production of syngas as a feedstock for existing, proven gas to liquids and gas to chemicals technologies."
This timeframe is what I was previously told on the phone, nice to have it written in black and white now.
They are talking about IP rights on the LNC thread. This is where MEE exceeds, having unique technology and somewhat of a small UCG monopoly. Many won't be aware of this, but LNC only changed to the 'module design' because MEE planned on doing it. Also, LNC only started doing directional drilling because MEE (designed by CSIRO) were doing it. Prior to hearing MEE's plans, LNC were just perpendicular drilling. Very interesting watching some companies copy others.
