I agree EL, I, like you aren't up with tax as much as I would like to be (well, you know what I mean), however my thinking was along the same lines, surely they see a low and think it a great time to exercise.
When stocks get this low, tax opportunities hit home, I was thinking myself about doing some off market transfers in between a variety of accounts in order to take advantage of the situation. Obviously have not run that by the accountant yet, so all pie in the sky, but there's just too much fear around at the moment and people can't see the woods for the trees.
Gas in AU is all systems go and the kind of prices we are seeing for stocks like AOE, BOW and possibly even ESG are great buying opportunities, simply bought about by fear!
