While one ought have every confidence in the Wilson family's ability to choose suitable independent Directors, it is sub-optimal that well-performing companies like this are being forced by 'gender targets' or extremely woke, leftie industry superannuation funds to appoint female director(s).
Individuals ought be appointed on the basis of competency, business acumen and the ability to work with others, as well as be forward-thinking while at the same time cognisant of present and possible future risks to the company.
Let's hope that for REH over time, "diverse" doesn't mean "less competent".
