Another change of director at the board of AVX, and another one with a similar profile - Investor, Analyst, M&A and the like. Which is, usually, a no-no in terms of putting together a performing board of directors. You would want a group of people complementing each other, rather than half of dozen having a similar experience.
I am a bit perplex by this move. I guess it may make sense to have one of them with this type of background - even though you can easily access this type of expertise via third party. What I 'd like this board to demonstrate is expertise and passion for their field, as well as (corporate) management and strategy experience.
Which is why I am not entirely convinced by this latest addition.
Hopefully, they will prove me wrong soon and pull off the deal of the century.
