AVOID who, or what exactly?

These unnamed director(s), or the entire company? The director(s) you obliquely refer to are not solely responsible for running CCC/CCL, but only play a bit part in the direction and operations of CCC/CCL.

It is grossly unfair to tarnish all the board, and the entire company for the (alleged) misdeeds of certain unnamed director(s).

I wonder how many people said avoid Andrew Forrest after his failures with Anaconda?

("Anglo American accuses Anaconda of value destruction, with a “long history of missed and changing targets,” lax corporate governance, high-risk capital structure, capital cost overruns and lost production.

On 16 November 2001 Andrew Forrest was removed from his position of CEO at Anaconda Nickel Limited.

Mr Andrew Macaulay - Executive Chairman

Mr. Lipshitz is an admitted attorney and practiced as a corporate commercial attorney as a director of one of South Africa’s pre-eminent commercial law firms, Werksmans Inc. In 2003 Mr Lipshitz joined Unihold and later Mashala Resources. During his time at Werksmans, Mr. Lipshitz specialised in mergers and acquisitions of listed entities, cross-border transactions, corporate restructurings and hostile takeovers. At Mashala, he has been involved in the legal management, strategic development and the acquisition of mineral rights as well as dealing with corporate and commercial matters of the company. Mr Lipshitz serves on the Executive committee and advises the board on legal matters.

Mrs Rachel Hebron - Chief Financial Officer

Experience:

Mrs. Hebron completed her Honours Degree at the Rand Afrikaans University in 1992, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1995. She has held various financial management positions in the Security, Retail, Electronics and IT Businesses of Unihold Limited. She joined the Head Office team of Unihold Limited (a JSE top 100 company) in 2000. Mrs. Hebron joined the Unihold Limited board in 2003. Mrs Hebron was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Mashala Resources in 2006. She recently successfully completed an Executive Programme in Mining at the Mine Qualifications Association.

Mr Ken Hodge - Projects Manager

Experience:

Mr. Hodge is a professional mining engineer, registered with ECSA and has more than 35 years experience in the underground and opencast coal exploration, development and mining industry in South Africa. His career includes senior management and technical appointments in mining and operations with major coal mining companies such as BHP Billiton and Xstrata. Mr Hodge’s speciality is integrated mine planning.

Mr Haroon Alli - Head of Marketing

Experience:
Mr. Alli is a mechanical engineer by profession and also holds a Masters in Business Leadership degree. He spent a decade in several engineering-based organisations after which he joined Shell South Africa. His career in Shell's Oil and Mineral Divisions spanned 20 years, culminating in his appointment as Commercial and Marketing Manager within the Mineral's Division. This was followed by his appointment as MD of Nobel Energy's SA subsidiary, Nobel Asia Pacific Limited, situated in Johannesburg. Mr Alli is a founding shareholder of Mashala Resources and as Marketing Director he handled the marketing side of Mashala's business, both export and local, including the acquisition of third party coal.

Mr Andries Mtsweni - Head Human Resources

Qualifications: Personnel and Business Management Diploma, DPLR

Experience
Mr. Mtsweni has 25 years experience in Human Resources Management. From 1995 to 2007 he held several Human Resources managerial positions at BHP Billiton. He then joined Mashala Resources as HR Director. His career includes general Human Resources functions, as well as negotiations with unions and the CCMA, conflict resolution, the coaching and mentoring of HR practitioners and the management of various internal and external stakeholder relationships.

Mr Martin Vander Poel - Consultant – Legal and Financial
