    Read it and weep

Lets hear from the Labor insiders as to why they are allowing this to continue. Labor supporters are complicit in their blame for not contacting their leaders and demanding that this farce is stopped

    Link to full story

58 percent of Australians blamed Labor for last weeks deadlock

    1781 people = 70 boats in June

120 this month (out of date now)

Christmas Island is too full so a lot have been flown to Darwin

Only 38 % of those that have arrived pass the UN qualification of refugees

    Only 13 % were women

The bill for the detention centres is in excess of one billion dollars per year

This equals 2.3 billion for the last 3 years, money the government has borrowed

It costs $139,000 for each illegal immigrant to be processed, a figure disputed by the opposition who say it is much higher

The opposition expect it to be 4.7 billion over the next three years
So each new uninvited arrival is probably costing Australian taxpayers $250,000 a year.
Meanwhile, dozens of boat people have been deported for reasons that remain a closely guarded secret.
There are now more than 1400 people in community detention, many of those in Queensland.
ASIO admitted this week it did not have the computer power or the manpower to check their backgrounds.
A report to Parliament said another 1300 people had "transitioned" out of community detention after being granted protection visas.

As another side to this story Christmas Island has a permanent population who has had their island invaded and have seen their cost of living skyrocket
