Hasn't it occurred to you yet that the vast majority of "asylum seekers" are in reality fraudsters simply trying to dupe the convention, & wet behind the ears people such as yourself?
Sri Lankan's are a very obvious example, travelling 1000's of kilometers when India offers safe haven close by. Tell me exactly why they take the risk, and expense, of trying to get into Australia?
Most of the rest are the same, after boob jobs, botox & IVF, and simply trying to push in front of the thousands of UN sanctioned refugee's that we should be concentrating on.
