    Dave,

Spending billions on roads for the country sounds a lot smarter than billions for an expensive high speed net connection.

Its obvious that the NBN is going to cost consumers heaps. They are going to legislate to get rid of all competition! that alone tells us that the NBN is going to cost consumers heaps. why worry about any competition if they were going to be cheap?

The govt aims to kill all other interner backbones. Why?

They cant stand ANY competition as they know that they would lose any competitive battle.

A monster monopoly is being planned here which will be a disaster for consumers.

There is plenty of high speed net available now but its too costly for many to want to take it up. The NBN will be worse with additional costs.

Why has tasmania failed on its NBN internet take-up? They are giving away the wholesale side for NOTHING but cant get customers to go for it! Wow, thats a very dire warning for the full roll-out.

The sheer cost of the NBN will make interner availability for the rich only and most others will get priced out of the market.

Its a joke that will last for a long time in terms of cost to the taxpayers.
