NBN for the bush? The bush don't deserve it.
Rolling out NBN to the bush, how many users is it going to supply as opposed to the cities?
Fibre optics in the cities satellite or copper in the bush. We don't need to waste our country's money on farmers who work the land. What do they need computers for? To find out what price a cow sells for in the city vs the bush?
All the so called "rich" in the cities are paying for the NBN given their high marginal tax rate. Yet this money goes to helping the bush people and giving a handful of people access to superior infrastructure that would have greater benefit for the cities.
I bet you people want the NBN rolled out all the way to Uluru.
How about Australia spend $40 billion on establishing our own domestic gas market, so families no longer have to pay these ridiculous gas prices. Hell, WA has 200 TCF prospective resources offshore and about 100 TCF soon to be on tap. Yet we pay the highest domestic gas prices in Australia.
Our money should be going into subsidising that or investing in our domestic gas market. Rather than some ridiculous scheme that wastes $40 billion and benefits a handful of people.
