The government didn't make Gold or silver and i agree that them who started loaning money to kings financed the wars and for the king to , it's the same today, Since the creation of the Fed after the Titanic sank theres been nothing but wars, when the cost of retaining power and continuing wars became too much they came off the gold standard so they could print the money and forge on with the end goals they have.
The other type of money we now have is Bitcoin, government don't need to make that, it's de-centralized and we can all use it.
Every country needs a government, just needs to be as small as possible rather than as large as possible, Police, Ambo's, Hospitals, saftey nets, Military, Ports, Roads etc etc are all needed and governments are required to ensure these things we need as a community.
