Public ledger would definitely help but the cynic in me doesn't like crypto as I personally believe crypto was put out into the public to bootload CBDCs as the public would have never accepted a switch from cash to CBDCs. So they let us play with tokens before forcing the real deal. Which falls into the theory that the powers that be practice karmic retribution
