Answering for your friend Jen, I haven't had a 6-man BOD planning for a year, but, broadly-speaking, CR to launch Bodyguard and keep providing P&G with clever IP to reap royalties from.
I mean, at the last few AGMs I could have sworn most of those now mad for gym-biscuits were pretty keen on the idea. Of course, they were impressed with what Directors told them then, too.
The reason the royalty model tripped over its own d.... I mean shoe-laces, was a terrible royalty deal. I mean $150m for them and two-bob and a trophy for us - sheesh!
Even 5% of the profit P&G made on the same sales would have been about $7.5m, bearing in mind that without OBJ, what P&G would have been selling with their cream was a shiny stick. The uptick in sales for them was big.
