Indeed, although that news floated around for a full day on all markets before it (potentially) triggered today's leg up. I've seen some chatter suggesting that shorts on the US tickers UUUU and UEX (I think), which were around 10% shorted, decided to cover last night, and that triggered a run on those & thus sparked a whole-of-sector run. Seemed like any excuse was enough to move up after the past month of continuous good news, tbh - reminds me of when everything was overheated after the Sprott announcement and entered something like a 2 month downtrend off the back of the Taishan news which itself fizzled to a non-event almost instantly. Rick Rule called that one perfectly FWIW (though I'm sure he was talking his book hoping to buy cheaper, so maybe right by coincidence or even self-fulfilling prophecy given his influence)
