Hi royalsy, I can't place the name? but I'm getting old that's my excuse!perhaps I know you as another name on a different board?

I took a hit like most did I would assume, nothing mortal though, so I live to fight another day, what the GFC did do though was give me an opertunity to load up on some that I like, and some of them have done nicely and some others are looking decidely good with much promise after many years in the doldrums!

MST are still a risk investment,I believe it's like this you will either lose everything, OR you will win big, I believe it will be the latter, but a feint heart never wins a fat turkey

If the company survives, and my thinking is that they will, (but what would I know?) in the event that they do though, once they start to make sales of their weapons, then rest will follow as history I believe, once the troops get a feel for them, I believe they will sell themselves, and then there is the icing on the cake (the AMMO)
the weapons themselves are great and getting even better, just look at how they changed the design of the 3GL to a bullpup, they would not have done that in my and a few other posters opinions, unless they were asked to by an interested party, not at that late stage!

It was pretty obvious that it needed a redesign and I said as much on another thread some time back , here is what I wrote on SS back in june this year, I was wrong on two things ! they did go back and redesign it!!!!and the bit about removing the mag I believe was for range safety and I said as much in a latter post, but metalstorm did say that the bullpup version does allow the 3GL to be used on weapons such as the AK 47 or similar weapons that have a magazine that curls forward!

I liked the Video, there were a couple of things though that caught my eye, one was the position of the left hand when it moved from the barrel guard to the 3GL pistol grip, is there any mandatory reason why the pistol grip has to be at the rear of the 3GL? as it seemed to me that the firer had a slightly cramped position with their left hand? wouldn't it have been better to have had the pistol grip further forward about where the rifle is held on the barrel guard normally, to give a better balanced grip? after all it is an electrically fired weapon and I see no reason why the grip has to be at the rear except for it looking conventional?

The other thing was that the magazine for the rifle had to be removed to allow extra rounds to be inserted in the 3GL, not sure I would like that idea myself as a soldier, again I wonder if the pistol grip was further forward would that allow the 3GL to be loaded without having to remove the rifle magazine?I know they won't go back now and redesign the 3GL at this late stage, but perhaps in the future they may have an issue 2, an updated version perhaps.

And when it is used in the stand alone mode, if the grip was further forward then the butstock could be shorter as well IMHO which would mean the overall length of the stand alone weapon would also be shorter.

The MAUL is in my opinion just right, I have held the barrel (empty) and the reciever and they are extremely light, especially the barrel, they will be adopted by both military and the police in my opinion simply because it is the best available!

The US seems much slower in getting the ammo and the weapons tested compared to ST kinetics who should be congratulated on how they have gone about their buisness with metalstorm.

you need to do your own DD on the company though and make up your own mind on this, because I am not a financial advisor!

    cheers M
