Boeing has now taken the guilty plea for ignoring safety regulator compliance demands issued to them. Fined an extra $244 mil for defrauding the US plus they have to fork out an extra $455 mil over next 3 years to improve on their compliance and safety standards. Plus they now have to beg and bow down to to the system to keep their $23 bill US govt contracts and also have an independent monitor appointed in place to oversee those improvements.
Little chance for Boeing to renege on any safety improvements especially if those airline customers are demanding it. Big mess.
