Australian-listed carrier Virgin Blue may be delivered the Boeing 777 planesordered for its new overseas airline, V Australia, at a later date than planned.Industrial action by workers at the US aircraft manufacturer for three weeksmeans Air Canada has already conceded its jets will arrive some weeks late. VAustralia depends on the equipment to start its new services to the US inmid-December 2008. While the first of its B777s has been assembled, the interiorstill needs to be added. Brett Godfrey, CEO of Virgin, is hopeful that therequired air operator's certificate for the B777-300ER can be gained in thefew days between delivery and the scheduled first flight.
