Hi Mumof3. I am just a hands on miner and i know there is so much more expertise on this thread than my own as far as mining start ups are concerned. The things that come to mind are granting of mining leases, native title, enviromental impact study.A lot more exploration has to be carried out, especially on their priority targets. If anymore near surface discoveries can be made then that will give the project a big plus. From there, the optimum mill size (possible refinery), Binding contracts with consumers of the product, port facilities (probably Esperance). Construction & mining contracts. There is a long way to go, dont forget this is only 9 months old, and always remember throughout history boom & busts are an integral part of mining. I believe there is a new system to treat lateritic ores, at present its only a scale model plant, if this proves successful on a full sized plant, then it will be a major negative gamechanger for underground nickel mining.
