The Neilson, Galaxy and Newpolls all have robust margins for error and large samples. They were also all consistent in showing just how unpopular Abbott was. The Liberal party's own polling showed the same thing - which is why his party dumped him. He wasn't just unpopular - he was THE most unpopular Australian PM of all time.
A mate of mine did some volunteer work with the Liberals in the Canning by-election. He reckons it was near impossible to find anyone who had a good word to say about Abbott - and that's in a Liberal seat!
Time to accept Abbott was incredibly unpopular and move the acceptance stage.
