Maybe I'm a bit off track here or perhaps just going back to the original refugee point in kennethgailbraith's 1st post.

I spoke to my son yesterday morning (Sunday) who was plucked from his normal day job (federal copper) last week and sent up to Christmas Island.
Asked him, very tongue in cheek, if he'd seen the Prime Minister up there yet? Naarrhh.

When it's floods in Qld, NSW, Vic or Bushfires in Vic, SA WA or any other life claiming disaster, the pollies (both sides) are there in a flash wearing hard hats & visibility jackets to show how earnest they are & how much they care.

Given the recent hundreds of lives lost, where are they? Crying in bloody parliament but nowhere to be seen on Christmas Island. They all know the blood is well & truly on their hands and no chance will they want to associate themselves with this total tragedy, unless they are forced to in parliament.

Absolute disgraceful pigs, the lot of them!!!!!
