BOM- case in point..... not far from us had 50 to 70mm rain recently, on a day where very little chance 20 to 30% I think) of 1 to 5mm rain was forecast!
now yes it was a freak storm, but the next morning on ABC Radio the duty forecaster said there were only two falls in southern Qld of near 20mm!! now they don't have enough rain guages, and I am sure no-one does the real work to ground truth their model's!
If they did, they wouldn't continue to ( in Southern Qld) frequently overforecast rain ( say west of Toowoomba) , from an easterly influence time and time again!!
