They're currently forecasting rain for Southern Queensland inland areas...my experience, unless it crosses south of Mackay and North of Rockhampton , will be rain east of the Ranges chiefly (or close to); or rain in the far West if cyclone crosses far north and instead of going to the gulf or the Territory it heads south into western Queensland as a rain depression. Time and time again they get that one wrong, as in they're saying it will likely cross North of Mackay, yet their rain models predict rain for southern inland Queensland!

gee stayer.... hasn't the BOM done an excellent job following this development over 2 weeks, enabling areas along the coast to be prepared and, by reports I've seen, some towns are very well prepared, as is the state govt. how much notice would you get without a BOM?
