Most of Australia will experience an “usually warm” winter this year, according to the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM). The official forecast from June to August shows that huge areas of NSW, Queensland, Victoria, Tasmania, WA and South Australia are likely to experience warmer than average temperatures.

    And then this:

High pressure system to bring frosty mornings and below average temperatures

Aussies are set to rug up as a high pressure system is expected to bring a burst of cold weather and below average temperatures to much of the country.

Professor Flannery has been seconded to advise the BOM in its time of confusion.
