    I think some of you guys could read up on radar and learn to interpret what you see.

    Rain radar is a primary radar, ie it picks up reflections of the radio waves as they bounce off the target. Aircraft and ships are easy, they are solid metal, rain, especially light rain, not so easy. Those tiny little drops are NOT very reflective so the gain, or sensitivity, of the receiver is set as high as possible. At such a setting it is easy to pick up spurious signals.

    I just had a look at Namoi and there was spotty white shown. White is very light rain. Unless there is clear skys give a little leeway and say "Who cares if there is very light, patchy rain or no rain". Either way, it isn't going to water your lawn.
