Thanks . I looked at the Vanguard bond etf (VAN0025AU) but it invests in a basket of different types of bonds and total returns over the last 10 years are only 2% pa. Admittedly it is at an 18 month low of 95c but it has only dropped 5c over the last 18 months while rates have gone from near zero to 4-5%. Assuming rates are going to fall over the next 5 years I was looking for something with a bigger potential price movement - plus Aus govt bonds are currently paying 4% pa. I have written to CommSec asking why they don’t want my impecunious business
