I cannot see major oil companies ignoring the technology, I am sure they have had their eyes on it for a while, you need to watch what the competition is doing. At the moment they have enough conventional oil to satisfy their needs, at sometime when conventional oil is on a decline or not so readily available i.e. unrest in africa or middle east then they will either buy companies that have it or will invest in the technologies. I am sure they have it in their roadmap what or where they want to go with this or other oil producing technologies in the future to do otherwise is to take the Kodak pathway to oblivion.
