An interesting article giving more background than before.

Hs comment of "aim of separate spin-offs. The oil and gas unit is already at that point, he says, while coal and UCG are about a year away, and shale two or three years off", gives the real insight of future direction and timing. He has the business nous and history of cheap buys and conversion of capital that he has also has been applying to the growth of LNC with minimum dilution, including riding through some tough times of GFC and credit squeezes.

If the business was a house, where the price is not reflected on a daily basis, a greater time span would still reveal a vey successful business man. Look at the bigger picture rather than daily fluctuations. With UCG gaining much wider interest world wide in the last 6 months, the core business is a toddler just about to take its first steps. Spin offs and JVs are the expansion plans to fund the growth. The real coy maker is the UCG. Umiat etc are just the side plays to the end results. Once some actual UCG partnerships come to fruition and prove the commerciality of the business plan, it is then we will see the real Linc emerge. I am more than comfortable with Bond's skills at the helm to be the deal maker to bring this all together with minimum dilution a focus.

Long term holders are too reactionary in sentiment as reflected in share price swings (and postings), and should focus more on the bigger picture, taking opportunities to top up when undervalued opportunities arise, and trade a % parcel of shares on the dips, or just be content that the only hinderance to the growth projectory is time. On the bigger picture, just have a look at Bond's capital growth story in the last decade. As Bond's capital growth now is all encapsulated in Linc, look at where Linc should be after 10 years of Bond....that would be around 2016.

Well thats the fundamental view from a pro technical investor.
