I have to agree jovanco a great brief analysis, of a period that gave Australia an era of wealth creation unseen before. I also agree that Howard and Costello dropped the ball, and did nothing but hand out buckets of cash to those that didn't need it. They had an opportunity Howard and Costello to drive the nation in infrustructe and nation building but couldn't see past the handouts. We as a nation are worse off because of the lack of forethought by those leaders that have followed hawke keating. The only thing of any significance done since has been the national disability scheme. I don't have any family or friends that need to use it. But I feel as a nation we should be proud to be involved to make a better life for these forgotten people.
