I was thinking she could have shot him in the stomach and crutch so that he lived to regret his actions and explain his motivation.
These people enjoy the terror they create, that's why they keep doing it after they start. I know all about it from first hand experience unfortunately and the consequences for everyone involved, along with their friends and families will last a lifetime.
Shooting him dead will not do much to appease their deep grief. It could actually have been more helpful for them to see him publicly held accountable while in a wheel chair with his waste going into bags.
