The green influence on Councils throughout the country is extraordinary. You should see some of the hairbrained schemes they waste ratepayer's money on - makes the national labor/green accord of the last few years and the misery imposed on the Tasmanian people over the last three and a half years of labor/green govt pale into insignificance.
Let me ask you a simple question. Who in their right minds would try and make a prediction for 2100????? Garnaut's Report in 2008 tried to make predictions for 50 and 100 years based on Treasury Modelling.
Let me ask you another question - when was the last time you had any confidence in Treasury forecasts???? This ueless lot cannot forecast for three months let alone 100 years.
I read the Government's Green Paper following the Garnaut Report twice and became a climate skeptic. Modelling depends very much on the variables - this is economics 1. Need I say more???
Like for the last billions of years the climate will do what the climate will do!! Human intervention did not give us the last ice age followed by warming. What we need to do is NOT waste money on climate change but spend the scarce resources working out how we adapt to NATURAL climate change!!!!
