    "I am very happy with my system and currently saving around $1500 per year.  FWIW I have 18 panels and three 1.2kW batteries."


    What was your outlay for this Shiggy? I'm curious about the life of the batteries, panels, maintenance costs, etc and how this relates to the economics of renewables/batteries for the household.


    The ABC had a report on home battery systems yesterday and stated that "Home battery systems typically retail at between $8,000 and $15,000 in Australia, depending on the size of the system."
