entitled to your view. As with all journalistic articles it is written from the viewpoint of the writer. If you look at chapter 4 of what I just posted of a summary of a CEDA research paper, the regulatory environment provides substantial risks to such large scale projects.

While it is convienient to talk of monopolies et al, the government itself through its regime and offshoots provides much of the uncertainity (both Liberal in the past and Labour now). The article in the main does not address these issues and tends to be corporate bashing IMO. It is the corporates and ultimately their shareholders who will wear much of the risk. If they wanted Telstra to be a passive national carrier, then the government should never have been privatised in the first place IMO.
