@alonso thanks for 'Nancy' - I probably have 'the' book - just had to re-organise all my books owing to a flood in my corridor and office - all fixed now, books back on their shelves but helter-skelter (not in 'Afferback Lauda' as before . . . ) keep coming across books I will never read again and out they go . . . and others have to be re-read.
So sad about your partner - it must be hard on you both - cannot even imagine. I lost my husband very suddenly due to a heart attack, aged 55! too young and so many unfulfilled dreams . . . ready to be tackled with the kids off our hands.
I hope you have good memories you can still delve into.
I have a long-term friend who - due to a lifelong smoking habit - is now on oxygen bottles, but lives miles away from here. We have daily telephone contact and I do get to hear of his pains and troubles and expectation of passing on. It is hard to take, but I am grateful, I am not physically closer - and I am still of some help just by lending a listening ear.
Don't forget to take care of yourself, too!!
    Go well
    Taurisk
