I think I'm losing my memory. I don't recall reading this book before, but of course it could be one of many second hand books I bought and just didn't get round to reading.Well it's very good. In fact it says on the cover "one of his best books".
As I said, it's about being in MI6, but I won't give anything away in case someone wants to get it.
As the title suggests, it's not so much about the espionage as about the lives & souls of the people involved. In fact it's not till about half way through that you get a handle on what's happening.
Every bit as good as John le Carre's books but Graham Greene of course had many more strings to his bow.
